How it works

A patient tutor in your child's pocket

Grinkif doesn't just ask questions. It teaches first, adjusts to your child, helps when they're stuck and plans what comes next, the way a good tutor would.

Getting started

Set up in about five minutes

Create a parent account

Sign up with your email or Google. The account belongs to you, the grown-up.

Add your child

First name (or a nickname), class, board (CBSE or ICSE) and the subjects you want them to see.

Tell us where the class is

Choose the chapter the class has reached. Learning starts there, not at page one.

Hand over to Chikiti

Start your 14-day free trial when you're ready, and your child starts their first lesson. We remind you on day 10, before the trial ends.

Inside every topic

Teach first, then practise

Topics open with a short lesson with Chikiti: pictures, everyday Indian examples and one idea at a time. Only then do the questions begin.

  • School-style questions: fill in the blanks, match the columns, label the diagram, true or false, definitions and short answers.
  • Reading passages with questions that build comprehension.
  • Writing practice with feedback on what to improve.
  • Report a mistake: a button on every question and lesson, and we read every report.

Levels that grow with your child

Foundationthe basics, secure
Proficientconfident and quick
Mastertricky, exam-level

The level moves up when your child is ready, and steps back to rebuild when they need it.

When a question goes wrong

Three kind steps, never a dead end

Mistakes are where learning happens. Chikiti never just says "wrong" and moves on.

A hint

A nudge in the right direction that doesn't give the answer away.

A second try

Your child has another go, with the hint in mind. Getting there themselves is what makes it stick.

Steps or an explanation

Still stuck? In Maths sums, the working is shown step by step. In other subjects, a clear explanation shows why. The question goes into the Oops Notebook, to come back later until your child gets it right without help.

Beyond a single topic

Planning, like a real tutor

Catch-up placement

Joined mid-year? Learning starts at the chapter the class is on. A short daily catch-up check then works through earlier chapters, from Foundation up to Master, and notes any gaps by topic.

Building blocks

If a topic isn't clicking, the problem is often an earlier idea. Grinkif links each topic to the skills it's built on, even from a lower class, and practises those first.

The weekly plan

Every Monday, a plan for the week: upcoming school tests come first, then class chapters and gaps, with revision on Sunday. It also suggests one or two small real-world tasks to try at home, so learning leaves the screen.

Auto Tutor

An opt-in autopilot. Chikiti picks each day's subject and topic, going across everything so your child doesn't just replay their favourite. It also switches on if a parent check-in is missed (you're always told, and can switch it off).

Exam planner

Add your child's school test dates and Grinkif builds a countdown: a stop for each prep day, a practice test, light revision, and then exam day.

Full-length mock tests

School mocks in your board's term-paper format (sections A–E: MCQs, fill in the blanks, true/false, match, short answers and a long or writing answer), and Olympiad-style mocks. All timed, marked and with a printable answer key.

Motivation

Rewards that keep them going, calmly

  • Grin Chips and Grin Gems for effort and progress, spent in Chikiti's store on outfits and themes.
  • Streaks and a journey map that show how far they've come in each subject.
  • Chikiti's eight animal friends to meet along the way.
  • No noise. Sound effects are off by design, and there's no chat and no public leaderboard.
